Why This is My Favorite Cornish Campsite

I have been camping in Cornwall each year for as long as I can remember and as you can imagine, I have pretty much covered all of the so-called best campsites in Cornwall. After so many years of traveling throughout the county, I have my favorite campsite which I want to tell you a little about today.

If you have never been to Cornwall, camping or otherwise, I cannot stress just how much you will love it here, or how much I would recommend this beautiful corner of the globe. Here in Cornwall you will find glorious beaches, magnificent coastal walks, beautiful little towns and villages, plus some of the finest seafood in the world. If you haven’t been yet, I suggest that you do, and this is the campsite which you should stay in when you get there.

Perran Springs

The Perran Springs campsite is located near Truro, around 2 miles away from those delicious golden sands of Perranporth, and just 6 miles away from Newquay, a town renowned for its world-class surf and its chilled out way of life. If you are looking for a base from which you can discover Cornwall, this is the perfect location for you to be.

Accommodation

Personally, I am a traditional camper who likes it rough and ready staying in a tent, bathing in the river and finding my own firewood. These childish pastimes however have to be put to one side occasionally, especially when you have family. This is why I love this campsite, there are a wide range of accommodation options from caravans, glamping-style tents,, luxury log pods and of course, some space for the traditionalists amongst us to pitch their tent.

Peace and Quiet

For me, peace and quiet should be a prerequisite for any campsite, but sadly my experience has told me that this is very rarely guaranteed. The campsite at Perran Springs however, offers nothing but silence and tranquility, except perhaps for the calling of the birds and the rummages of the animals in the leaves, now that is a noise that I can happily live with. I find it fascinating that this place is so close to all of the Cornish delights that you could wish for, yet absolutely serene at the same time.

Nature

As much as I do love to discover new places such as towns and villages, when I go camping I do so in order to get back to nature, and this is the prefect place to do just that. Some days whilst the family go out and about in Newquay, I love nothing more than hitting the fishing lake, or simply sitting by the pond in the nature reserve, watching the dragonflies and taking some much valued time out.

If you are looking to go camping, Cornwall is one of the best places to do it, and Perran Springs is the best place to stay. Here are the details:

5 Things You Simply Must Do On a Trip To Vegas

If you have planned a trip to Las Vegas then you have made an excellent choice and you can count on a vacation which will give you an experience that you will not forget. Las Vegas is a crazy, all-action, fun-loving destination with so much to offer the tourist, regardless of what kind of thing it is that you are looking to do. During your time in this wild little city, there are a few things which you simply cannot leave before doing, and here are our 5 recommendations for exactly what you have to do during your time here in Vegas.

Gamble Whilst Vegas may be a mecca for gamblers, there is far more to the city than simply casinos and it still has plenty to offer those who don’t enjoy gambling. With this being said, it is something of a rite of passage when you visit Vegas that you at least have a go at some form of gambling. If you aren’t keen on the bright lights of the casino then you can find plenty of slot machines around hotels and stores, whatever you do though, spend a couple of dollars on a little flutter, you may even get the bug.

See The Fountains
In front of the Bellagio hotel, situated right on the Vegas strip, you will find incredible fountains which spurt water high up in the sky in a choreographed fashion, usually set to music. This incredible display is the perfect example of just how ostentatious Vegas can be, and you must get a photo alongside the fountains.

See a Show
Las Vegas is not just the gambling capital of the world but also the entertainment capital, and there are shows going on from dusk til dawn. Here you can find comedian shows, drag acts, magic shows and just about everything in-between. You are bound to find something that you like here in Vegas and the shows here are simply breathtaking, be sure that you don’t miss out.

Hoover Dam
Just outside Vegas you will find the iconic Hoover Dam, an incredible feat of human engineering and a sight which you simply cannot leave without witnessing. This dam took over 21,000 men and 5 years of hard work to construct, and it is well worth your while stopping by to see what they managed to create.

Get the Best Views
Many offer a helicopter ride over the strip so that you can see Vegas in all of its mesmerizing glory, but an easier way of doing this is to hit the Stratosphere, who’s restaurant at the top offers 360 degree views around the city. Every 80 minutes the restaurant revolves 360 degrees, so you won’t even need to move to get the best views. Try to hit happy hour between 5 and 6 so that you can enjoy these views without getting hit too hard in the pocket.

Tick these items of your list and you can safely say that you have had a proper Vegas vacation.
